Tilogaard
Lolland, Denmark

Tilogaard bacome a Bodhipath center in 2007, but Lama Tendar Olaf Hoeyer has been Shamarpa's student since 1981 and has accomplished the 3 year meditational retreat under the guidance of Gendun Rinpoche from 1991 to 1994. Lama Tendar was director of the Karmapa center in Copenhagen from 1985 to 1989 and has been teaching the Dharma since then and is now resident of Tilogaard.
Tilogaard means "Tilopa's Farm." Tilo is Tilopa in another rendering. Tilogaard came into beeing in May 2002 and students come here for personal instruction in the view and practise of the Dharma, particularly in the disciplines of Ngoendro, Lojung and shiné-lhagthong. A special group perform the ritual of Karma Pakshi from time to time. Lama Tendar also conducts seminars on meditation at various places in Denmark at different occasions.
At present, Tilogaard is too small for any slightly large get-to-gether. It has only 2 guestrooms. The plan is to build a large guesthouse for 12 people, 4 retreathouses, a reasonably sized meditation hall, 2 stupas and buy more land. This plan will be developed during the winter, a budget will appear, and a presentation. Then a fundraising effort will take place.
