Rachel Parrish
Rachel Parrish was born and grew up in the Midwestern United States. And after graduating from university with a degree in English, Chemistry, and Art History, she traveled in Europe, where she discovered the Dharma at Dhagpo Kagyu Ling in France. After living there for three years to prepare for a retreat, she then completed two traditional three-year retreats in Kundreul Ling, which was established by Gendun Rinpoche, a very highly realized Tibetan master. After this she completed a one year solitary retreat at Dhagpo Kagyu Ling. Rachel is now based at the Bodhi Path Buddhist Center in Chicago, occasionally traveling to other centers in the United States and working on a translation team with Shamar Rinpoche.
