About the Center
Bodhi Path Natural Bridge Retreat Center opened its doors in 1997. Its purpose is to make Buddhist philosophy and meditation available to all who are interested. Located in Rockbridge County, Virginia, between Natural Bridge and Lexington, the center is about forty-five minutes north of Roanoke off of I-81. Nestled in the valley between the Blue Ridge and Alleghany Mountains, it sits on 45 acres of hilly forested land.
The Center’s location in the Shenandoah Valley is ideal because of the tranquil nature and beauty of the area, as well as its accessibility and nearby population centers. We offer weekly meditations for practitioners of all levels, group and individual retreats, a variety of programs with outstanding visiting teachings, and personalized instruction for the advanced meditator.
Bodhi Path Natural Bridge is also home to four sacred sites including a stupa of enlightenment and eight smaller stupas representing eight major events in the Buddha’s life and activity.
Our resident teacher is Dharma Teacher Tsony.
