The Bodhi Path center in Kosice, Slovak Republic was established in November 20th, 2005. Kosice, ancient historical crossroad of different cultures and religions is metropolis of Eastern Slovakia and is full of respect towards others. The center is supported by donations given by people from Slovak Republic as well as Czech Republic.
The center serves the needs of practitioners in the wide region of Eastern Europe and organizes courses and teachings according to the Bodhi Path Curriculum on regular basis a few times per year. To present date we hosted the teachers including Shabdrung Rinpoche, Lama Yeshe Drolma, Tondrup Rabten and Choepel Namgjal, with more invited to come.
At the present time the center offers group meditation sessions twice a week. For newcomers we provide Shamatha (shi'nay) and Tonglen (giving and taking) meditations and for the practitioners with vows plus Chenrezig Sadhana. Once a month we offer the one-day retreats on 35 Buddhas practice which ends with Wishing Prayers of Arya Samantabhadra. There is also possibility for individual practices a seven days a week.
The center is doing a lot of translation work on practices and their explanations. We published the first book “Emotions – how to understand them and deal with them” from Jigme Rinpoche in 2008.
Center is open to everybody who is interested in Dharma.
